New model releases, capabilities, licences and first-hand impressions, with one thread per model.

**Belongs here:** new releases (frontier and open-weight), model cards, licensing, hands-on comparisons, “which model for X”.  
**Before posting:** search first. If the model already has a thread, add to it instead of starting a new one.

**Tags:** the model family (`claude`, `gpt`, `gemini`, `llama`, `qwen`, `deepseek`, `mistral` …) and `open-weights` where relevant.
